Super reliable and friendly service from Jack. Found my problem and had me chase up my warranty rather then just charge me straight away. Will definitely use Jack again.Daniel InnesGeneral electrical

Signs to look for
Signs it is time to call an electrician
Some of these are small jobs. A few are worth a call today.
The safety switch keeps tripping and resetting it has stopped being a one off.
Lights flicker or dim when the kettle, the oven or the air conditioner kicks in.
Power boards plugged into power boards because there are not enough points where you need them.
A switch or power point feels warm or there is a burning smell you cannot place.
A renovation or extension is planned and the wiring needs sorting before the plasterer arrives.
The smoke alarms are past their date or nobody knows when they were fitted.
What is included
What we do
The everyday work, done to the same standard
Solar is half of what we do. The other half is the ordinary electrical work that keeps a house running: a circuit that keeps tripping, a kitchen renovation that needs the power points moved, a new build that needs the lot roughed in and fitted off, fans, downlights, smoke alarms, a bore pump that has stopped.
Same licence, same standard, same people to ring. Which is also why our solar customers tend to ring us for the small jobs afterwards.
How we charge for fault finding
By the hour, and we say so up front, because nobody can honestly quote a fixed price for a fault they have not found yet. Once we know what it is, you get a fixed price for the fix.
Our staff are highly trained and always clean up after themselves.
Renovations and new builds
Kitchen and bathroom renovations are where electrical work most often goes wrong, because the trades arrive in an order nobody controls. We work in stages, make safe between them, and give you sensible advice about where the power points and lights actually want to go before the plasterer arrives rather than after.
The bit nobody asks for
Whenever we are at a property we test the RCDs to confirm the safety switches actually trip, and check the smoke alarms are in date and working. It is not on the invoice and nobody asks us to do it. Both fail silently, which is exactly why it is worth two minutes.
- Fault finding and repairs, charged by the hour, fixed price once diagnosed.
- Power point and socket installation, including dedicated and 15 amp circuits.
- Lighting: downlights, pendants, sensors, outdoor and security lighting.
- Ceiling fan supply and installation, including remote controlled units.
- Switchboard upgrades and RCD or RCBO replacement.
- Renovation and new build electrical, rough in through to fit off.
- Smoke alarm supply, replacement and testing.
- Dedicated circuits for heat pumps, ovens, cooktops and pool equipment.
- Sub-mains runs to granny flats, sheds and studios.
How it works
How the job runs
Tell us what is happening
Describe the job, or send a photo. For a fault, when it happens matters as much as what happens.
Price the right way
Fixed price for known work. Hourly for fault finding, because nobody can honestly quote a fault they have not found yet.
Done properly
Our own licensed electricians. Made safe between stages on a renovation, and rubbish leaves with us rather than going in your bin.
Checked before we go
Work tested and certified, plus an RCD test and a smoke alarm check as standard.
Aftercare
The same number to ring if anything is not right afterwards. Your guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law apply to our work, as our Warranty Terms set out.
FAQs
Questions we get asked
How much does an electrician cost?
For known work, a fixed price once we understand the job. For fault finding, an hourly rate, because a fault nobody has found yet cannot honestly be quoted. We tell you which applies before we start.
Can you come out today?
Sometimes. We have turned up next morning for a bore pump and come back on a public holiday to finish a job. Ring and we will tell you honestly what we can do rather than promising same day and missing it.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. WA electrical contractor licence EC16475, held by SolArk Electrical Pty Ltd, and fully insured. Both are worth checking on any quote you receive, not just ours.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes, alongside residential. We also do ongoing work for property managers across their managed rentals.
Will you make a mess?
No, and it is the single most common thing our reviews mention. Rubbish leaves with us rather than going in your bin.
